What’s the difference between GCSE and BTEC?

GCSE qualifications

GCSE courses are offered in traditional academic subjects, and have exams at the end. These are great options for students thinking about A Levels and university degrees.

BTEC qualifications

BTEC courses offer a more practical approach to learning and assessment. The courses tend to be focused on the world of work. BTECs have an element assessed by exams. These are great courses for students moving on to higher level BTEC courses at college, and many universities accept BTEC courses too.
