We'll be asking current Year 9 students and their parents / carers to tell us their four choices on Thursday 6 February, 2025
Before then we are asking you to learn about the options available and narrow down your choices.
What are the choices available?

The mandatory bucket
This one has been filled for you with subjects you have to do.
(taught in your English lessons, worth 1 GCSE)
&
(taught in your English lessons, worth 1 GCSE)
Combined Science
(worth 2 GCSEs)
OR
Triple Science
(worth 3 GCSEs) - but note that this will count as one of your four choices below
Mathematics
(worth 1 GCSE)
Core PE
(there are no exams or certificates for this - it's for your health and wellbeing)
Bucket 1
You MUST choose ONE of the following subjects from this short list.
Bucket 2
You MUST choose THREE more subjects from any in this long list.
The Back-up Bucket
You MUST choose THREE more subjects from the bucket 2 long list.
This is just in case we can't fit your choices into the timetable.
